July Apple, Pear Tree Management Technology

In order to make the most of the abundant grassland resources after harvesting, an orchard without a grass root cover should take advantage of this opportunity to fully cover the tree trays. Before covering with grass, remove the tree tray first, then lay a layer of grass at least 15 cm thick. After compacting, lightly press it down with a small amount of soil to prevent wind damage, but avoid creating a solid layer of soil on top. This method can also be applied throughout the entire orchard. When the grass grows beyond 20 cm, perform pruning by cutting back the rows and tree trays. In addition to phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, it's essential to ensure the healthy growth of fruit trees and fruits by controlling nitrogen fertilizer application, thus avoiding excessive vegetative growth. It is also important to manage irrigation and drainage effectively to prevent both drought and waterlogging. Strengthen monitoring for pests and diseases, and implement comprehensive control measures to prevent outbreaks of pests like red spider mites, aphids, and borers, as well as the spread of various diseases. For apple orchards, alternate between 1:2:200 Bordeaux mixture and 68.75% DuPont Yibao diluted 1500 times, or Mengxue 800 times, or 50% Xinling WP 800 times. Apply these treatments every 15 days or when brown spots appear. For fungal leaf spot diseases, use carbendazim, thiophanate methyl, or 40% DuPont Fuxing. For spotted leaf diseases, apply propiconazole, Polyzone, or Fuxing. For the gold thread moth, use diflubenzuron, Saden, or 90% Lingen diluted 3000 times. For the starry sky moth, choose chlorpyrifos, abamectin, or triazamate. In July or mid-July, spray the entire orchard with 50% EVOH WP 600 times, or 40% CK Fuxing 8000 times, or 70% thiophanate-methyl WP 800 times mixed with 48% LS 1200 times and 20% pyridaben. For mites, apply 5000 times dilution to control pear pests, peach twig borer, yellow ringworm, and anthracnose. In mid-to-late July, spray 68.75% Yibao wettable granules 1200 times, or 50% acetamiprid wettable powder 1200 times, or 70% mancozeb WP 500 times mixed with 30% Tao Xiaoling cream 1500 times or 20% fenpropathrin emulsion 1500 times plus 10% imidacloprid wettable powder 2500 times to control pear borer, Prunus versicolor, Prunus maculonum black spot, pear ring disease, and anthracnose. For bagged pears, regularly check the bags every 7 to 10 days for infestations by T. bracteatum or Conrad’s whitefly, which often enter the bags and damage the fruit. If detected, treat immediately. Continue summer pruning, which includes branch removal, branch spreading, shoot thinning, shortening, bud scoring, and other techniques aimed at controlling excessive growth of new shoots in autumn, promoting fruit enlargement, and encouraging flower bud formation.
