How to maintain the tractor in summer

Summer tractors work in high temperature environments and are prone to malfunctions and accidents if used improperly. Therefore, when using the tractor in summer, special attention should be paid to the following issues.

1. Be careful about "cooking." When the cooling water "open pot" should be handled with caution Do not immediately turn off the flame or immediately add cooling water or poured with cold water or easy to make the piston stuck and easy to make the cylinder, cylinder head and other burst. The correct way to deal with this problem is to keep the engine running at a moderate speed and open the radiator cover to let the hot air cool down and then slowly add cold water. When opening the radiator cover, the operator should stand upright and not face the water inlet to avoid being burned by the high-temperature water spray.

2. Keep the cooling system clean. Every year before the arrival of summer, a thorough descaling and cleaning work is performed on the main cooling system so that the water pipes of the water pump and the radiator can be unblocked to ensure the normal circulation of the cooling water. In addition, weeds and other materials that adhere to the surface of the radiator should be removed in time.

3. Pay attention to the tension of the belt. The fan belt is too loose and slippery, so that the fan speed and the water pump speed are not sufficient to reduce the wind speed; when the belt is too tight, the wear of the bearing load increases the power consumption. The general requirement is: When the thumb is pressed in the middle of the belt, the amount of belt sagging is 10 to 15 mm. Too loose or too tight should be adjusted in time. When using two belts, the tension of the two belts must be the same.

4. Use the thermostat correctly. There are two types of thermostats: automatic (such as thermostat) and manual (warm curtains and blinds). Some drivers think that the lower the temperature of hot water in summer, the better to remove the thermostat. This will greatly prolong the warm-up time of the engine when the cold car starts, and accelerate the wear of the parts. Therefore, the thermostat cannot be removed during the summer. The insulation curtains and shutter boxes are used to regulate the amount of air passing through the radiator. In general, summer blinds and shutters should also be placed in the fully open position.

5. The correct choice of oil. The high temperature in summer can use the diesel with higher freezing point and ensure the correct timing of fuel supply. In addition, special attention should be paid to preventing the oil supply system from leaking oil. In addition to diesel oil and grease should also be used in accordance with the provisions of the use of summer brands. Some tractors with oil temperature change valve should be switched to the position where the engine oil leads to the oil radiator.

6. Pay attention to the maintenance of the battery. Water in the battery electrolyte in summer is easy to evaporate. Pay special attention to checking the liquid level of the battery. The normal liquid level should be 10-15 mm above the plate. The density of the electrolyte of the storage battery should be adjusted according to the regulations. The ventilation holes on the filler cap must be adjusted. Store unused batteries in a cool, ventilated place.

7. Anti-engine explosion. The deflagration of the engine due to overheating increases the wear on the upper part of the cylinder by 3 to 5 times. Therefore, the carbon deposits at the combustion chamber, valve head, etc. must be completely removed to prevent deflagration.
