The Kiss

"There is no cure for love but to love more."
~Henry David Thoreau

Today marks seven incredible years since that magical day. Yep, it's our anniversary, and I can't help but reminisce about the moments that made it so unforgettable.

I woke up feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness, even though I wasn’t feeling great physically. But who cared about being sick when I was about to tie the knot? My last morning alone before the wedding was peaceful, starting with a calming massage, the sunlight streaming through the curtains, and the sound of my voice yelling into the phone, "I'm getting married today!"

The chaos of getting ready was everything I dreamed it would be—my girls squealing with joy, the salon buzzing with laughter, and the room turning into a colorful whirlwind of makeup, dresses, and accessories. I remember watching the chairs fill up in the venue and seeing my mom looking absolutely stunning. She always has this way of making every moment special.

Walking down the aisle to see Chris waiting there brought tears to my eyes. His tears moved me deeply, and hearing the room laugh at my dad's jokes was pure magic. The salt covenant symbolized something so meaningful to us, and the adrenaline rush during the ceremony was indescribable. Cutting the photoshoot short because I couldn’t stand any longer was funny in hindsight, but it was all part of the day’s charm.

Entering the reception hall, surrounded by twinkling lights, felt surreal. Kissing each other in front of everyone, cutting the chocolate fountain cake, and tricking the girls with the bouquet were all little touches that made the day uniquely ours. Tiana’s heartfelt toast and Corey’s unexpected dance moves had everyone in stitches. Sneaking away for quiet moments, sharing stories with my girls, and dancing until we were breathless—it was pure bliss.

Even late-night surprises, like the coney-dogs at midnight and my grandma rocking out on the dance floor, made the evening unforgettable. We ended the night hot-tubbing under the stars, and when we realized we’d forgotten candles, calling the concierge turned into an adventure in itself.

Looking back, I realize how much we’ve grown together. Seven years later, we’re still falling more deeply in love every single day. It’s not just the big moments that stick with me—it’s the little things, like the way we laugh together or how he still makes me feel like the most important person in the world.

I’ll never forget the way it felt to look around and see all those smiling faces, knowing they were there because they loved us. If I could relive it over and over again, I would. But for now, I’m grateful for the memories and the future we’re building together.

Life after marriage has its own set of challenges, but it’s also filled with moments that remind us why we fell in love in the first place. Every argument, every laugh, every quiet moment shared—that’s what makes us who we are today. And honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

So here’s to seven years of loving more, and to many more to come. Because at the end of the day, love isn’t just about the grand gestures—it’s about the everyday moments that make life worth living.

Puffed Corn Flour

Puffed corn flour is a type of flour made from corn that has been puffed or expanded through a process of heat and pressure. The process involves heating the corn kernels until they become soft and moist, and then rapidly releasing the pressure, causing the kernels to puff up. The puffed corn is then ground into a fine flour that can be used in a variety of recipes. Puffed corn flour is often used as a gluten-free alternative to wheat flour in baking and cooking, and is also used in snack foods such as popcorn and corn chips. It is high in fiber and protein, and has a light, airy texture that makes it ideal for use in baked goods.
