Prevention of abnormal engine water temperature

Keep radiator and water jacket clean. When the outer surface of the radiator is soiled with dirt, oil, or the heat sink bends due to collision, it will affect the air circulation and increase the water temperature. The radiator should be cleaned and repaired in time.

Use clean, clean cooling water. The more impurities in the cooling water, the more scale is deposited, the heat-conducting capacity of the radiator is reduced, and the engine water temperature is increased. Therefore, do not add unfiltered hard water. In order to ensure the heat dissipation effect, the scales in the water jacket and radiator should be cleaned with chemical solvents.

Keep enough cooling water. When the amount of cooling water is insufficient, it is easy to cause the engine to “open the pan”. This will not only affect the normal operation of the engine, but also cause the cooling water to boil and evaporate. The main reason for the lack of cooling water is leakage, poor sealing of the radiator cover or decrease of the opening pressure of the outlet valve. Can cause cooling water boiling point lower, easy gasification, increase water consumption. To prevent cooling water from leaking and evaporating, always tighten and inspect the interfaces. Thermostatic valve plug hole will affect the cooling water. At this point, the cap-shaped valve orifice can be slightly enlarged so that the water can fill the water jacket smoothly.

Keep the cooling system components working properly. The tension of the fan belt shall meet the requirements. When the fan blade is deformed by collision, it shall be repaired and restored in time. The integrity of the wind protection ring shall be maintained to concentrate the airflow and improve the cooling effect. The role of thermostat is to automatically control the engine operating temperature, therefore, usually pay attention to the thermostat working conditions and found that the fault is eliminated in time.
