1. Scientific Fertilization. Throughout the year, spring fertilization and fruit-setting fertilization are applied to ensure healthy growth and high yield. Organic manure is primarily used in combination with chemical fertilizers. Quick-acting fertilizers should be added during the application of precipitating and stabilizing fruit fertilizers. Additionally, decomposed manure water can be used as a soil cover. From June to September, the focus is on developing cooked bran fat, such as peanut bran and rapeseed bran. It is recommended to apply calcium superphosphate to fully decompose and exfoliate the manure, which significantly improves fruit quality.

3. Proper Water Supply. During the fruit growth and development phase, especially the fruit enlargement period (June to August), a balanced irrigation schedule helps ensure proper cell division and expansion in the fruit pulp, leading to better fruit size and quality. However, excessive or irregular watering in the late ripening stage should be avoided, as it may cause the fruit to absorb too much water, reducing its sweetness, flavor, and storage life.
II. Main Measures to Improve Fruit Appearance
1. Fruit Bagging. Bagging protects fruits from diseases and results in a smooth, bright, and visually appealing surface. Before bagging, it is essential to spray fungicides 1–2 times. A solution of 70% thiophanate-methyl at 1000–1500 times dilution or 50% sterilizing king (Huiheng No. 6) at 1500–2500 times dilution can be used. Alternatively, 50% carbendazim at 1000–1200 times or 80% Dasheng M-45 at 600–800 times is also effective. A mixture of 8 grams of Norwich per 30 jin of water or 100 grams of orange juice per 80–100 kg of water can also be applied. Simultaneously, spraying 18% chlorinated emulsion at 1200 times helps control pests and bacteria on young fruits.
2. Foliar Fertilization. In the later stages of fruit growth (August to September), foliar sprays can enhance fruit shape and color. Spraying 1000–1200 times diluted Fengfeng can help shape the fruit. Applying 100 grams of fruit expander per 60 kg of water and spraying the whole plant twice before harvest improves sweetness, uniformity, and skin brightness.
3. Timely Pest and Disease Control. Pomelo fruits are vulnerable to canker and anthracnose. To prevent these, a solution of 8 grams of naltrexil per 30 kg of water or 100 grams of orange juice per 80–100 kg of water can be sprayed effectively.
III. Pest Management
Scale insects, red spiders, and rust mites can damage the fruit's surface, making it unattractive. Therefore, preventive measures should be taken throughout the growing season. For scale insects, spraying 95% wax at 2500–3000 times or 1000 times New Fast-Acting Flea combined with 200 times oil emulsion (Hui Ling) in early May is effective. During August to September, 1000–1500 times diluted Rust Ban can be used. For spider mites, mix oil emulsion with 1500–2000 times enemy or Skull Swordsman, or Krypton at 2000 times. For leaf miners, Moth Treasure at 1000–2000 times or Swordsman at 1500–2000 times is recommended.
IV. Timely Harvesting
Normally, harvesting should take place between October 25 and November 10. Harvesting too early results in underdeveloped fruit, reduced quality, green peel, poor color, low sugar content, and less juicy, coarse pulp. Therefore, it is crucial to wait until the fruit reaches full maturity for optimal quality and appearance.
