The onset of the disease, apple mold, is caused by a variety of fungi. The pathogenic bacteria usually latent in the apple tree body parts or left in the tree, on the ground, etc. in the stale fruit wintering. In addition, it can also winterize in the form of spores hidden in the bud's scales. In the spring and summer of the following year, the wintering germs began to spread. The pathogenic bacteria infiltrate from the fruit pods until the fruit heart, or after the flowering period, the germs are lurking in the fruit. With the development of the fruit and the spread of the germs, the victim fruits gradually spread outward from the ventricle and cause the disease to become increasingly severe until the storage period. The whole fruit deteriorated. The occurrence of diseases is closely related to the variety. In the cultivated varieties, the diseased tube is long, and the incidence of diseases linked to the heart is heavy. For example, the red star, red crown, and other marshals are all seriously affected; the occurrence of the gold crown half-open is light; Zhuguang is generally closed, short tube, light incidence. In addition, the orchards with weak trees and closed trees have a heavy onset.

Harmful symptoms The disease mainly damages the fruit. After the fruit is victimized, the initial symptoms are not obvious, it is difficult to identify, and the young fruit suffers serious early fruit drop phenomenon. When it is nearly mature, some of the diseased fruit can occasionally appear yellow or colored earlier. Severely affected fruit was obviously deformed, and occasionally pink fruit was found on the fruit surface. During the storage period, the fruit and mildew develops faster. The fruit surface can be seen as water-stained, brown, and irregularly shaped wet rot-like spots. The plaques can be combined into pieces, causing the whole fruit to rot and the taste of the pulp to be extremely bitter.

Preventive measures to eliminate the source of the disease: Do a good job in the clearing of the garden in the winter, cut off the dead branches completely, collect stagnant fruits on the trees and on the ground, and focus on the treatment. Spray 3~5 Baume degree lime sulfur plus 0.3% sodium pentachlorophenol to eliminate the source of overwintering bacteria and reduce the incidence of the disease the following year. Spray protection: Spray 1 dose each at budding stage, early flowering stage, Xiehua stage and 10 days after flowering to protect the fruit and prevent germs from invading the flower. The agent may be used as a 15% triadimefon 1000-fold wettable powder, or a 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder 1000 times, or a 50% carbendazim wettable powder 1000 times. It is better to add 0.2% borax when spraying.
