Codonopsis how to produce high efficiency

Codonopsis, a key herb in traditional Chinese medicine, originates from forest edges and shrublands. It is widely cultivated across various provinces in China due to its adaptability and medicinal value. With a sweet and flat taste, it is highly valued for its health benefits. First, Codonopsis thrives in cool mountainous regions, typically at elevations between 800 and 2000 meters. It requires deep, well-drained soil rich in organic matter, such as sandy loam. To maintain soil fertility, continuous cropping should be avoided. Second, the propagation of Codonopsis can be done through sexual reproduction, which includes direct sowing and transplanting seedlings. Transplanting is often preferred for better growth control and higher yield. Third, when transplanting seedlings, the land should be deeply tilled during winter of the first year. Farmers apply 15,000 kg of farm manure per hectare, along with 750 kg of phosphate fertilizer as base fertilizer. In the following spring, the soil is finely prepared and shaped into raised beds 170 cm wide. Seeds are mixed with fine soil and sown in furrows spaced 10 cm apart, with a depth of 1-2 cm. After weeding and top dressing, about 6 hectares of seedlings can be transplanted per hectare of seedbeds. Additional manure and phosphate fertilizer are applied before planting, and seedlings are planted after the "Qingming" festival or in autumn. The roots are placed diagonally in the furrows, with the crown about 7 cm below the surface. A second layer of soil is then added to cover the plants. Fourth, field management involves weeding twice a year—once in spring and once in autumn. Fertilization is essential, especially in the first year, where 15,000 kg of compost or 375 kg of ammonium bicarbonate is recommended. Stakes or branches are placed between rows every 30-60 cm to support plant growth. For seed collection, seeds from two-year-old plants are harvested around the "Summer Heat" period and stored properly. Fifth, pest control is crucial. Root rot and yellow rust are common in May to July. Infected plants are removed and burned, and lime is used for disinfection. Before sowing, 30 kg of pentachloronitrobenzene is applied per hectare for soil disinfection. Fungicides like 65% wettable zinc or Bordeaux mixture (1:1:200) are sprayed every 7 days for 2-3 times. Insect pests such as locusts and red spiders can be controlled using dimethoate diluted in water. Earthworms and other pests are managed with sulfur-based insecticides or bait traps. Lastly, harvesting occurs after 2-3 years, typically around the "White Dew" season. Roots are carefully pulled, cleaned, and dried. They are then rubbed and baked repeatedly to enhance quality. The final product should have roots measuring 10-15 cm in length, a yellow and white cross-section, a fragrant aroma, and a slightly sweet taste.

Garlic Powder

Dehydrated Garlic powder refers to garlic that has been dried and ground into a fine powder. It is commonly used as a seasoning in various cuisines.

Garlic powder 80-100 mesh refers to the particle size of the garlic powder. The mesh size indicates the number of openings per linear inch in a sieve. In this case, the garlic powder has a particle size that ranges between 80 and 100 mesh.

Garlic powder 100-120 mesh, on the other hand, has a slightly finer particle size compared to the 80-100 mesh variant. It ranges between 100 and 120 mesh, meaning the particles are smaller and more finely ground.

The difference in mesh size can affect the texture and dispersibility of the garlic powder when used in cooking. Finer mesh sizes may dissolve more easily in liquids and provide a smoother texture, while coarser mesh sizes may have a slightly grittier texture.

Except for the different mesh size, we have different kinds of garlic powder: such as garlic powder 4-6 clove, garlic powder standard quality, garlic powder EU quality, and garlic powder B grade. And the garlic powder of 4-6 clove have the most pungent garlic flavour in these different kinds of garlic powder.
