Preservation of leafy vegetables

Leafy vegetables are usually not stored for a long time. If they are stored in a refrigerator, the leaves will soon turn yellow and wet and rotten. The most important thing for preservation of leafy vegetables is to retain water while avoiding leaf rot. The simpler method is to spray some water on the leaves of the vegetables, then wrap the vegetables in the old newspapers, and put the roots upside down in the refrigerator and fruit fresh-keeping room, which can effectively extend the storage time.
The lettuce in leafy vegetables is the most difficult to store. Before the lettuce is stored, the lettuce shall be first removed, then the wet tissue shall be inserted into the heart of the cabbage to allow the lettuce to absorb moisture. When the tissue is dry, the lettuce is placed in a fresh-keeping bag and refrigerated.
