Last July, the project was listed in the National 863 Program and supported by the Natural Science Foundation. The experimental base built specifically for this project, the development of salt-tolerant transgenic plants and the screening of salt-tolerant plant resources was the main research direction. The basic construction of the project was completed in Anda, Heilongjiang Province. The base covers an area of ​​200 hectares, and a number of cultivation test areas such as saline-alkali turfgrass area, pasture planting area, crop planting area, nursery stock experimental area, fruit tree experimental area, flower planting area and vegetable planting area are established. It is reported that this base is the largest anti-saline and alkali ecological test base in the country. Through the configuration, testing, and research of resistant plants, a complete set of saline-alkali lands will be explored from breeding, seeding, and large-scale mechanized cultivation of resistant plants.
